Western Environmental were engaged to provide consultancy services for a residential development project located on Melbourne urban fringe. Historic importation of soils had resulted in asbestos contamination across the site requiring remediation to facilitate the proposed future land use.
Western Environmental undertook multiple phases of works including site investigations, remedial options appraisal and strategy development, remedial project management, provision of hygiene services and site clearance. Remedial costs were minimised through on-site abatement of asbestos impacts, followed by off-site disposal of material.
