Western Environmental was engaged to deliver a five-year contract for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of a PFAS water treatment system to extract and treat surface water emanating from a source area at a major Australian airport. Project design and construction included obtaining necessary permits and approvals, civil and electrical works, plant installation and commissioning.
Project delivery has included the ongoing operation and maintenance of the plant, waste management and disposal, compliance monitoring, reporting and regulatory liaison. Our expert PFAS consultancy team was also able to review site conditions and historical data to provide client-side objective and scope refinement, leading to an optimised remediation design, saving considerable time and costs.
