Western Environmental were engaged to provide environmental consultancy services associated with the installation of a sewer pump station and associated infrastructure at a site in Yuroke, north of Melbourne. The site was subject to historical contamination and also holds cultural significance for local Traditional Owners. The site required detailed assessment prior to construction as well as negotiation with landowners and site access agreements.
Works included contamination investigations, asbestos in soils investigations, management plan preparation, construction supervision, management and monitoring, and closure reporting. The site was subject to 53X Audit by an EPA VIC-appointed Contaminated Sites Auditor.
